Global Trade Leadership Summit Welcomes International Trade Leader Alfredo Motty

.

We’re delighted to announce another outstanding speaker for the Global Trade Leadership Summit 2026.

Joining us in Dublin this September is Alfredo Motty, Senior Export Manager at Octapharma AG, Switzerland and an internationally recognised leader in pharmaceutical exports, global supply chains and international trade management.

With more than 25 years of experience across the chemical, pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries, Alfredo brings a unique perspective on what it takes to successfully manage international trade in one of the world’s most highly regulated sectors.

International Trade in Practice

Every day, Alfredo is responsible for overseeing export operations, managing a €135 million annual export sales portfolio while ensuring products move efficiently and compliantly from European manufacturing sites to patients across the region.

His role combines strategic leadership with operational excellence, encompassing international trade compliance, supply chain management, sales and operations planning (S&OP), demand forecasting, financial performance analysis and distributor collaboration.

It’s a role that requires balancing commercial objectives with regulatory requirements while navigating the complexities of global trade.  These are challenges that many international trade professionals face every day.

A Leader with Global Expertise

Alfredo’s career has been built on developing strategies that enable businesses to grow internationally while maintaining operational resilience and compliance.

His expertise spans international trade management, biopharmaceutical supply chains, logistics, operations management, strategic partnerships and international trade policy.

Alongside his extensive industry experience, Alfredo has continued to invest in professional development throughout his career. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Export & International Trade (MCIEx), holds the Expert Supply Chain Management (ESCM) designation from the Institute of Supply Chain Management (IoSCM), and is also a graduate of the Professional Diploma in International Trade Compliance, delivered by the International Trade Institute in partnership with Glasgow Caledonian University.

His commitment to lifelong learning reflects the very values at the heart of the Global Trade Leadership Summit.

Alfredo offers something incredibly valuable: the perspective of a senior executive responsible for making international trade work in the real world.

His experience leading complex export operations, managing global supply chains and building strategic partnerships across international markets will provide delegates with practical insights they can apply within their own organisations.

Whether you work in customs, export controls, supply chain management, trade compliance or international business, Alfredo’s session promises to offer valuable lessons from the front line of global trade.
